Refund Policy

DraftCV provides digital services that are delivered instantly upon purchase. By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below. Last updated February 26th 2026.

The short version

Credits are delivered instantly. Once you have used a credit to generate a CV analysis or cover letter, the service has been performed and a refund is not available. If you purchased and have not used the service, or experienced a technical failure, contact us at contact@draftcv.com within 14 days of purchase.

Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

Your statutory rights under EU consumer law and how they interact with digital services delivered on demand.

14-day withdrawal right

If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you generally have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving any reason, under Directive 2011/83/EU.

Waiver upon use

However, by purchasing and using DraftCV, you expressly request immediate access to the service and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the service has been fully or partially performed. At checkout you are asked to confirm this before payment is processed. This is consistent with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

Operator

DraftCV is operated by 1X Management OÜ, a company registered in Estonia. Payments are processed by Stripe.

No Refunds After Usage

Due to the nature of the service, refunds are not provided once the service has been used.

Service considered delivered when

The service is considered delivered — and a refund is no longer available — once any of the following have occurred: a CV analysis has been generated, a cover letter has been created, or any part of a paid credit has been used. This is because the service is considered performed and costs have already been incurred.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds may be granted only in the following limited cases.

Unused service

You purchased credits but did not use any of them and request a refund within 14 days of purchase.

Technical failure

The service failed to function as described due to a verified technical issue on our side — for example, a credit was consumed but no output was produced.

Duplicate or accidental charges

You were charged more than once for the same purchase, or were charged due to a payment processing error.

Request window

All refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of purchase.

Partial Refunds

Exceptions to the standard no-refund policy.

Discretionary partial refunds

In exceptional cases, DraftCV may issue a partial refund at its sole discretion — for example, if a multi-credit pack was purchased and only some credits were used. This is not a right and is assessed case by case.

How to Request a Refund

Contact us directly before initiating any dispute with your payment provider.

Email us at contact@draftcv.com with your order details and a description of the issue. We aim to respond within 3 business days.

What to include

Include the email address used for your account, the date of purchase, the amount charged, and a description of the issue or the reason for the refund request.

Chargebacks

We strongly prefer to resolve payment disputes directly.

Contact us first

Initiating a chargeback without first contacting us at contact@draftcv.com may result in suspension of access to the service. We are happy to resolve legitimate disputes quickly and directly — please give us the opportunity to do so.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
